Tea Time for Tortuga
About 20 years ago a very small desert tortoise wandered into my sister’s backyard in California. He stayed and has become a member of the family. He eats well, wanders the yard when not hibernating, and scratches on the patio door when he wants to come in. Who knew turtles had tongues.
That last comment was from Marie’s sister

Yup he fit in the palm of my son’s hand when he wondered into our lives. We named him Williams Arizona but lovingly call Tortuga or sometimes the Turd as he likes to do that right in front of the door.

How interesting it can be! From the stories I have read about Tortoise, I hope he does not take over the home and chase out its inhabitants.
