Imagecraft Bootcamp: Shadow Recovery

Shadow Played Out

I used a photo of a lovely pond in Columbia County, New York, for this exercise. I was shooting at dusk just after a rain storm, though user error (not paying attention to my settings) made it even darker on the original photo. Following the directions in the post, I was able to recover much of the original light. As a bonus to myself, I used the same original image to play with low lights, last week’s assignment.

Hello Marie, I loved the work you did here. The results are fantastic.
I am sorry I missed seeing your photos before. I would like to ask if you think it is a good idea to join the Imagecraft Boot camp group on Flickr, so that everyone can see your photos and comment too. Alternatively you can pingback your post to Mitch’s post so that everyone find your link.
Cheers!

Hi. Thanks. I have considered the Flickr group but will the traveling a lot the next month and didn’t want to start something I couldn’t keep up at the moment. Won’t have much access to photo editing tools.
