Great shot Marie. The besutiful light gives hope that summer really will come.
Alaska is still high up my to do list and this shot has pushed it a bit further up!!
Thanks. This was up in Alaska over Christmas. It was unexpectedly warm weather for the Fairbanks area so I was able to get out and walk a couple of times.
They do have a long winter in Alaska. This was taken near North Pole, Alaska, about 20 miles from Fairbanks. That is about as high in the sky as the sun gets around Christmas.

Someday I want to spend more time in the summer, when daylight is more than 4 hours. 🙂

Yes, the winters are long in Alaska. I’m glad I visit in the winters but I am not sure I would survive the long dark, snowy winters.

Yes, I think I would do better just as a visitor.
