Used To Be Trees

Dead camel thorn trees in the clay pan at Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Namibia.
Dawn at Deadvlei. The sun has barely breached the ridge of a huge sand dune on the left of this shot so the dead camel thorn trees in Daedvlei’s clay pan are still in the shadows. Deadvlei is a white clay pan located at Sossusvlei, inside Namibia’s Namib-Naukluft National Park. Sossusvlei is famous for its giant red sand dunes.
