Touch But Don’t Look

Sculptured façade details from the House of Lords of Lipá in Brno, Czech Republic. The House of the Lords of Lipá is a Renaissance palace (1589–96) with a 19th-century sgraffito façade. The figural groups are on either side of the building entrance. The house was built by the architect Antonio Gabri for merchant Christoph Schwanz of Retz between 1589–1596. Another Italian—Giorgio Gialdi—created the sculptural decoration.
