This reminds me of a Perry Rhodan story (Perry Rhodan is a German science fiction series, weekly booklets since the 1960s). There are extra terrestrials who isolate a planet they wish to conquer by shielding it from others. The only noticeable thing for the inhabitants is the stunning blue sky – that’s why this weapon is called “the blue system”. In our family that’s the private name for weather like this. And that in combination with the autumn coloured leaves – simply stunning!
