Where the Chena Rivers meets the Tanana River, near Fairbanks, Alaska

Mud flats near Fairbanks, Alaska, where the Chena River runs into the Tanana River. The 100 mile long Chena River is a tributary of the 584 mile Tanana River, which empties into the Yukon River in the interior of Alaska. The Yukon River, a major watercourse of northwestern North America, flows from British Columbia, Canada, to the Alaska’s Bering Sea at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. The Yukon is 1,980 miles long.
