Glacial runoff perhaps. They are rounded which indicates very strong current. Wave action can also do that to boulders. It happened a long time ago. I was a geology major.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure about the quartz. They are from central Alaska. Could they be from glacial movement? Though there is a river close by.
