Crowned Cranes
We saw many grey crowned cranes in Kenya and Tanzania. They are native to East Africa and southern Africa. We spotted these in the Ngorongoro Crater.

Love these – saw many of the in Walsrode in Germany, but never seen them in their natural habitat.

Thanks. There was a serious birder on my tour so we ended spending time (too much at times :)) stopping to look at at birds. We saw many beautiful ones. I especially loved the crowned cranes.

Thanks, Joanne. We saw quite a few of them. It helped we had a serious birder on the tour who spotted lots of wonderful birds I wouldn’t have noticed. I was so pleased with the results from my new Canon telephoto lens. Only a 70-200 but the quality is so good I am able to crop down a long way and still get sharp pictures. Loved the crater. Want to go back.
