Out on a Limb

Relaxing, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
“You have to understand – there is a romance to Africa. You can see a sunset and believe you have witnessed the hand of God. You watch the slow lope of a lioness and forget to breathe. You marvel at the tripod of a giraffe bent to water. In Africa, there are iridescent blues on the wings of birds that you do not see anywhere else in nature. In Africa, in the midday heat, you can see blisters in the atmosphere. When you are in Africa, you feel primordial, rocked in the cradle of the world.”

I’ve seen many photos, including my own, of leopards in Africa’s trees but never a lion, much less two!! Great shot Marie. I agree with every word in Jodi’s quote, it’s a magical place. Many thanks for your support and participation throughout the year!

Thanks, Tina. You four have done a wonderful job the last year. It is an improvement on what it replaced. 🙂

Thanks so much. We watched the lions in the tree (there were 4 of them) for a long time.
