Hey. Thanks for following. I have been keeping busy, mostly through traveling. I will admit that last year I think I overdid the travel, if that’s possible. 🙂 Having made the conscious decide to spend the first years after retirement traveling, I didn’t realize how much it would impact the time when I wasn’t traveling. I haven’t really been able to get involved in taking classes or too much volunteering, both things I have done and wanted to do more of, because I couldn’t commit to being around. On the other hand, I love being able to just take off for a family event or to help out one of my sisters or go visit friends. And the wear and tear of traveling and hauling around luggage and cameras for much of the last five years is beginning to show. I am dealing with a rotator cuff issue that meant I had to postpone a trip to Italy in September. That said, I love being retired. I don’t regret leaving the work environment. Enjoy yours!!!

Marie I can definitely see what you’re saying about that so I’m kind of hoping to do the travel while I’m still at the younger part of retirement just like you are. You were one of the first travel retirement blogs I followed. You inspired me that what I believe I can do actually can happen because you’re doing it but I can see how all this traveling would interfere with the other things that we want to do in life. I enjoy watching your incredible photography and travels so keep it up for as long as you’re happy with it.
