I did the night train from Venice to Vienna. It was nice but I didn’t see much. It left very late.

Was so much fun, would happily have done another night or two if the beds were better and there was track left to ride on!!

Did you have a coachette or a bedroom. I always splurge on the bedroom. But American tracks aren’t the best because they are shared with the freight trains. I wish there was more commitment to passenger travel but doubt it will ever happen.

We splurged ona bedroom and would do so the same, and yes we waited a few times to let a freight go past! Fortunately not in a rush on our trip so we just went with it. The standard of tracks though was so poor, quite a rough ride in places
