Christmas In The Country

No matter which holiday or holidays you observe in the coming weeks, celebrate them with some music.  We should try to keep the spirit everyday. The singer and the song are new to me but I like the upbeat melody.

Huron Carol

No matter which holiday or holidays you observe in the coming weeks, celebrate them with some music.  We should try to keep the spirit everyday.

The Huron Carol is Canada’s oldest Christmas song, written in 1643 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Jesuit missionary at Sainte-Marie among the Huron Indians in Canada. Performed by the Prairie Rose Rangers, December 7, 2012.

River

No matter which holiday or holidays you observe in the coming weeks, celebrate them with some music.  We should try to keep the spirit everyday. Michael Ball is one of my favorites. I’m not sure why River became a holiday song, maybe because Christmas is mentioned in the lyrics. It is a bit melancholy but I’m sure we’ve all felt this way.

Where Are You, Christmas?

Thanksgiving Day officially starts the holiday season in the U.S. It is a day when family get together to eat turkey and take a nap. But there are more to come, and they all deserve some musical cheer. So, no matter which holiday or holidays you observe in the coming weeks, celebrate them with some music.  We should try to keep the spirit of Christmas all year round.
