Located in the royal palace complex in capital of the former Kingdom of Kandy, the Buddhist Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic houses a relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. Flowers are a typical offering in temples in Sri Lanka.

Buddhist monks carrying offerings to a giant golden statue of Buddha, which sits atop a museum building at the lower entrance to the Dambulla Caves, Matale Region, Sri Lanka. I thought they looked a bit scary. The museum, golden Buddha, and monks were constructed in the 1990s and are out of synch with the actual Dambulla caves.
Offerings to the dead. Wax fruit, fake money and real cookies for sale at a temple in Saigon. I found it interesting that the fake money was U.S. currency.
