Located in the royal palace complex in capital of  the former Kingdom of Kandy, the Buddhist Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic houses a relic of the tooth of the Buddha.  Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site.
